Join Metro Beekeepers
We meet in-person at 6:30p on the 2nd Mon of each month, at Fort Worth Botanic Garden, 3220 Botanic Garden Blvd, Ft Worth, 76107.
Our main mtg is open to the public for free, & everyone is welcome to attend every month.
We provide season-specific beekeeping tips, pollinator-friendly plants that do well locally, a main speaker on various topics, Q&A opportunities, snacks, door prizes, & good discussions about beekeeping. Meet others interested in beekeeping who live near you.
We usually have about 80 people attend in person & some online also.

We invite everyone to join MBA to support our goals to help each other become better beekeepers, attract & inform new beekeepers, & promote beekeeping.
Membership is only $25 per household per year, or $40 for 2 years (the 2nd year is $15).
Join using the links, or mail payment to Metro Beekeepers, PO Box 79105, Fort Worth, TX, 76179-0105, or attend in-person. Make sure we have your email address.

Learn to be a beekeeper
We provide several ways to attend the class.
We meet in-person & on zoom at 5:30p on the 2nd Mon of each month (Jan thru Oct).
We meet at Fort Worth Botanic Garden, 3220 Botanic Garden Blvd, Ft Worth, 76107.
We stop at 6:20p, so we can all attend the monthly MBA mtg (which is free & open to the public).
The class is recorded & we send new links each month, so you can watch or re-watch it at your convenience.
After each new class, we send links to the new charts & recordings.
When you join, we provide links to all of last year's charts & recordings, because some people like to read ahead.
Learn about bee biology, hive types, equipment, protective clothing, obtaining & installing bees, inspecting, diagnosing & solving problems, harvesting & sales, benefits of bees & beekeeping, & AG exemptions.
A great text book is included, Beginning Beekeeping, by Tanya Phillips.
There will be field trip opportunities to inspect beehives & gain valuable experience.
The teacher is happy to answer questions outside of class, thru emails, texts, or calls.
She has kept bees since 2012 in her backyard in Ft Worth.
The sooner you start, the sooner you will harvest your own honey, improve your gardens and plants, and help the bees contribute to the health of the environment.
Class is $125 for Members.
A 2nd person in the household can join the class for $95 (sharing the book).
Please join MBA to take the class ($25 for 1 year, or $40 for 2 years).
